How I helped a woman give birth back in the village.. I will never forget that experience

Sasa tukiachana na Alejandro Wanjau , pastor Ng’ang’a and Jehovah Wanyonyi acha nipeane today’s story. I was at the village on this particular day and was busy doing my house chores as I listened to some nice rhumba music kwa redio yetu; don’t ask about my age coz I do listen to rhumba just like my good friend Fred Obach Omachoka who is approaching his 70s noooo!

Am not old aki ata 30 sijagonga but I love rhumba not this nonsense with no message from naija and south Africa Sijui aichukuchaaichukucha!! nooo mimi ni mtu ya rhumba ama bongo kutoka mombasani.

Sasa, as I spread those vitambaa za neti (lace) kwa tv yetu na viti I heard someone knock the door. Kwa wale mnaishi Lavington na Runda we don’t have a bell at the gate uko ushago itang’olewa na wezi day 1 ama watoto wa jirani who have never seen vitu ka izo wataichezea mpaka uumwe na kichwa(ring the bell and run away sazile umekuja kufungua). I went to open the door.

Sasa kufungua it was our neighbour Morris not mollis the bull (listen to Mollis making a girl salenda HERE) apana Morris a nice neighbour who’s wife Martha was pregnant and was due any time,”laura laura ameanza kuumwa na tumbo”.I have never given birth (hata ile ya kumoses kuria yaani abortion) but I hear stories MTU akiumwa na tumbo iyo ni labour pains, my mum was not around and so I had to take full responsibility like a grown up woman
