7 Students from St. Martins Murang’a drown at Diani beach in Kwale

Seven primary school pupils from St. Martins Murang’a died on Wednesday evening after drowning while swimming at a public beach in Diani, Kwale County.

Seven St. Martins Murang’a pupils dead after drowning in a public beach in Diani

The seven students of St. Martins primary school in Murang’a were among 56 pupils who were on an academic tour of the coast region. There was no rescue personnel at the public Diani beach when the incident happened.

Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya who visited the area said that he had already communicated with his Murang’a counterpart Mwangi Wa Iria.
