My first time to drink alcohol.. this happened to me. True story

So I was new in Nairobi and was that naive girl from tharaka nithi who first used flash toilets when I landed in Nairobi, I had to be shown how to flash a toilet, how to light a gas cooker, how to switch on a tv and change channels using a remote control, how to use a DVD player name them all

I stayed for a short while adjusted to the urban life .On this particular day I was invited by one of my male friend who happened to be my homie for a drink in town. I had never stepped in a club before and din’t know cbd as well,the only place I knew was afya centre..Ghafla bin vuu… I put on my blue jeans,black stletos and a kawhite T-shirt which while I was at village used to be my best, I applied some fair and lovely then Vaseline on my lips then I was ready to go.

I boarded a matatu not forgetting my kabambe phone , I sent a text to him that I have just left. Aya, we arrived in town too bad the matatu stopped in a place I didn’t know na tukaambiwa shukeni nyote!!

I alighted and asked where afya centre was remember kuvuka Barbara was still a problem I could wait till gari zote zinaisha then navuka . I took almost an hour to get to afya centre and guess what my homie had waited for me till karibu sense zake,we hugged each other and told me Leo lazima tulewe.. hehehe din’t know ata club sijawaikanyaga.

Something funny he took me to a club within cbd whith an elevator na iyo club ilikua Sijui 4th floor aki karibu nifaint ndani ya lift twas my first time but nikajikaza tukafika 4th floor, kuingia club I was so shocked on how girls were dressed; short sexxy dresses and hot pants other very short skirts.

I was so shocked and wondered if they really had parents.. aya kuketi kidogo I was just looking right left in front n back just wondering why this gals could dress like that na hii baridi na Nairobi na walipitia wapi wakiwa ivo, then a young beautiful waitress came to our table and asked “upewe kinywaji gani madam?”

The only drink I had ever heard of was tusker and pilsner izo zingine Mimi uko village sikuwaisikia ata advertsiment kwa radio, so I said niretee tu iyo fanta kubwa .. my homie said no tumekuja kukunywa pombe apa hawauzi soda. Then I again said basi niletee tusker. .hehe..  I was like 18 by then and first time in a club then naitisha tusker twas funny I swear

My homie told me eeeh kumbe we ni MTU wa tusker ? wish he knew I had no idea hata tusker uonja aje,he asked for a beer too and the waitress rushed to bring them,at the centre of the club there were some girls already tipsy dancing and shaking their asses which made me wonder why they were doing Tabia mbaya in front of people and if they were really normal. I wanted to ask my homie what’s wrong with those girls.. but again decided to just shut up…

When the waitress brought my tusker honestly I didn’t like the taste, I like sweet sweet things and this wasn’t sweet. Nikajikaza finished the first one but told my homie honestly sijaipenda.

He told me to order for wine then akaita waitress, waitress kuniuliza wine gani? I had no idea kuna red n white wine. thank God my homie akanisemea mletee red wine and it was brought… si nilikunywa, nikakunywaaaa nikakunywaaaaaa mpaka nikaanza kuona watu wote kwa club ni ka wamefanana.. hehehe.. and remember naishi kwa wenyewe

My homie kuona ni kama pombe inaniweza he said sasa ni time ya kuenda nyumbani. he made sure am safe akanitaftia cab and was dropped home hapo ni kwa wenyewe around 1a.m nabisha gate tipsy ,nakafunguliwa gate naangaliwa na macho zingine ata zinakuambia tu na aka kanatoka wapi?,nikaingia kitchen karibu ata nikule mayai mbichi kutoka kwa fridge.

Nikaenda bedroom yangu kulala kesho yake niliamka nikajipata nimelala na Viatu kwa mguu and my kahandbag kwa bed,si kesho take I had hangover aki..that was it,my first night out
