Italian Prime Minister wears bullet proof vest to statehouse

Usalama Unaanza Na Wewe: Italian prime minster, Matteo Renzi, took this statement very seriously when he visited Uhuru Kenyatta at the statehouse. He was wearing a bullet proof vest. As you can see from the photo below, the outline of the bullet proof vest is clearly visible through his slim fit coat.

Its not clear why the Italian prime minister chose to wear a bullet proof vest when visiting the most secure house in Kenya.
