Idiots calling Moses Kuria a hero for walking out of Live Interview on Citizen TV
/Someone walks out of live TV interview and some guys call him a hero?
Let me tell you about a true Hero :- William Ruto. When the whole world was shouting about him being a thief, he confidently walked in to face Hussein Mohamed to answer questions on ownership of Weston Hotel. He answered all questions, cleared any doubt, and stood by his word.
His bravery did not start there. When Kanu was vanquished in 2002, and all Kanu men were peeing on their trousers as Narc moved to take over KICC, William Ruto gallantly fought back. I remember seeing him walk from the Police Headquarters right into KICC through a crowd of stone carrying hooligans that were shouting “mali yetu ” I actually thought that he would scamper into his 4WD parked at the gate.
During the ODM nominations in 2007, when every one was singing praises to Raila that he was going to beat Kibaki hands down, Ruto refused to remain silent and told Raila live live that there was no way power would be handed over to him – even if he won. The Sunday Standard carried an exclusive story of how Raila broke into tears when Ruto tried pushing that he steps aside for either him or Mudavadi for ODM to have a realistic chance of taking power. Of course nobody listened to him.
In 2010 when everyone was singing praise to a silly Katiba, Ruto was the only high ranking official that joined us in the Church to oppose it. Ruto was vocal in speaking the truth : the Katiba was hurriedly written and supported by gay rights groups who only wanted to legalize homosexual relationships, and never thought through the cost implications of several clauses they were inserting. Opposing the sick Katiba at a time everyone was pretending to support a flawed document just to be seen to be politically correct was Rutos ultimate show of bravery and patriotism.
In 2012, when all analysts said that there was no way Kalenjins would ever vote for a Kikuyu :Ruto did the impossible and convinced his people. Thats what is called bravery
