Through a divorce case filed at the Milimani Commercial Courts by William Lay- Joyce Lay’s husband,  he has petitioned the court to dissolve the marriage between himself and Joyce Lay, whose original name is Joyce Wanjala Mwakalindo, saying that their marriage can not be salvaged due to irreconcilable differences

Joyce Wanjala Mwakalindo and William Lay got married in 2007 at a church called Thunder Fire ministries in Nairobi. Before meeting William, Joyce was a poor girl from Taita Taveta. She once revealed that she wore her first pair of shoes in form 2 and had only one dress which she used to wash and wear every day
