Many trapped after 6 storey building collapses in Roysambu

Dozens of people are trapped in rubble after a 6 storey building collapsed in Roysambu, Nairobi, on Thursday morning

Most of the people trapped or hurt in the collapsed Roysambu building were construction workers who had reported to work on Thursday morning. Residents of various buildings next to the collapsed one had raised concerns over the way the building was constructed in a haste

According to Kasarani OCPD Francis Sang, rescue operations are still  underway “We already have the National Youth Service, the Red Cross and some other rescue teams. We are also looking for the owner of the building” Said Mr Sang
