Shocking revelations from the EACC list of shame
These are the things that have put various powerful people in government in the infamous EACC’s list of shame. They all claim they are not aware why president Kenyatta ordered them to step aside but the allegations against them are VERY shocking.
1. Charity Ngilu, EACC List of Shame
Ngilu is accused of working with Waitiki to inflate by Sh 110 m the cost of Waitiki Farm in Likoni. Ngilu got Sh 65 million in kickbacks and bribes
2. James Orengo- EACC list of shame
The EACC report says Orengo irregularly allocated himself land in 2008 after a lease of the land acquired in 1975 had expired. He is also accused of of receiving Sh 5 million bribe to sell public land in Westlands in cohorts with Mabeya and Aladwa
3. Energy CS, Chirchir.
Davis Chirchir, the Energy CS has been accused of trying to influence a KPC tender to SINOPEC. He was to make Ksh 1.2 billion in kickbacks and share it out with Nairobi Sen.Mike Sonko. Chirchir is also accused of perpetrating corruption in the Ministries tenders & procurement processes
4. CS Michael Kamau
Michael Kamau is accused of manipulating road tenders and conflict of interest involving a consultancy firm-APEC which is linked to him. He is also alleged to have inflated the SGR (Standard Gauge Railway) consultancy fees involving billions of shs through the APEC firm
5. Agriculture CS, Felix Koskei
Agriculture CS Felix Koskei is accused of secretly allocating permits to import sugar without observing the procurement laws. He is accused of conflict of interest, abuse of office, intimidation & bribery demands from parastatal heads
6. Bomet Governor, Isaac Rutto
The EACC report is accuses Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto of purchasing property worth close to Ksh 750 million in the last few months. Rutto is accused of buying heavy machinery such as 40 earth movers, tippers and graders worth approximately Ksh 400 million. He also bought a helicopter worth Ksh 300 million and a palatial home in Ngong town worth Ksh 33 million all in a very short period of time.
It is alleged that he owns a rapid number of petrol stations in the country.
7. Caroli Omondi , Former PM Raila Odinga’s Chief of staff
Caroli Omondi is accused of causing KCB to lose Ksh 400 million involving prime land belonging to the bank. Caroli was to allegedly acquire land belonging to KCB near Barclays plaza at Ksh 220 million & sell it at Kshs 650m to an Asian Businessman
Other high profile persons in the EACC List of Shame
- Former Kibera Magistrate Fridah Nyakundi was bribed with Ksh 2.4 million by media personalities facing drug trafficking charges. The magisteate later acquitted the 3 media personalities of drug related charges on 2/03/12 citing insufficient evidence
