Mike Sonko vs Evans Kidero: The Drug Baron vs Sugar Baron..

“Drug barons whether in Colombia, Jamaica or Mexico use drugs money to duplicate government services in a bid to capture power which they use if successful to criminalize the entire society. The time is now for Kenyans to speak out against drug traffickers & their well established cartels or else we are doomed as a nation”.

Nairobi governor Dr Evans Kidero made the above remarks while hitting at the Jubilee administration for seemingly encouraging Senator Mike Sonko to perpetuate his drug business networks while hoodwinking Kenyans with philanthropic work via his Sonko Rescue Team.

Dr Kidero said the Sonko rescue team is an illegal organization and a threat to peace because such outfit replicas in Colombia & Jamaica have caused untold suffering to residents in the long run.

On his part, Senator Mike Sonko has moved in to allay fears that he is a drug baron and called on those peddling rumors about his involvement in drugs to table evidence with the police.

”I have never, I am not and i will never be a drug baron. Those peddling lies should produce the evidence or shut up. I can account for all my money. I buy and sell land and i can prove that anywhere”, said Mike Sonko.

Senator Sonko trashed Governor Kidero’s claims and said Sonko Rescue Team is a genuine charitable organization and soon he will reveal publicly how he funds the team. 

Sonko and his team are planning to start tarmacking estate roads that have long been forgotten by the corrupt County government of Nairobi and it seems “real estate business” is working wonders for the Nairobi senator.
