“2014-YB35″ Massive Asteroid on collision course with earth- Its capable of ending life on earth

NASA: A huge asteroid nicknamed 2014-YB35 is on collision path with planet earth. The 1 KM wide asteroid might narrowly miss planet earth or collide with it in a few days

NASA reports that the 2014-YB35 asteroid will skim planet earth on Friday travelling at a speed of 23,000 MPH- that is about 37,000 km/h

According to the Mirror, its not rare for asteroids to come so close to earth but 2014-YB35 poses a real danger to our planet

The 2014-YB35 asteroid is forecast to pass within 2.8 million miles of Earth on Friday- which is a very tiny distance in astronomical terms , according to NASA’s Near Earth Object Programme.

If the earth actually collides with asteroid 2014-YB35, the impact would trigger catastrophic changes in the climate, tsunamis and earthquakes leading to the death of millions of people.

A professor of astronomy at the University of Buckinghamshire, Bill Napier, has said that with YB35, we should be looking at a scale of global destruction, something that would pose a risk to the continuation of life on planet Earth.

There is absolutely a real risk and if you look at history, certainly biblical records, there are reports of fires in the heavens. Red hot debris resulting from the impact of something a kilometre wide would be capable of incinerating the planet.” Said Bill Napier
