Mandera massacre suspects taken to court
Three Mandera massacre suspects were arraigned before senior principal magistrate Elenah Nderitu on Thursday. According to the anti terrorism police, they were arrested on the 25th of January 2015, in Mandera county

According to preliminary reports, the group has been living in a mosque within Mandera town together with their mastermind, Abubakar Salim Kitonga who appeared before the court on Monday. Investigators applied to have the three remanded at the Kilimani police for 14 days as investigations continue. The case will be mentioned on the 19th of February 2015
The suspected Al Shabaab members were alleged to have been behind the planning of Mandera bus and quarry attacks where over 60 people lost their lives. This comes even as police heighten security within Mandera and along the borders
