Nkaissery now proposes this new punishment for traffic offenders
Motorists who break the law should now be a very worried lot because there is a new sheriff in town who seeks to introduce a new law to tame rogue drivers.
Nkaissery has said that traffic offences will be dealt with a different strategy. The new strategy which Nkaissery says is a proposal that is with relevant authorities, a motorist who commits an offence might have to travel a long distance to hear his case as opposed to the traditional policy of being arraigned in the nearest court.
Nkaissery said that if the proposal is accepted, motorists who commit offences in Mombasa might find themselves answering their case in Kisumu.. and those who commit traffic offences in Nairobi might answer their case in Mandera.
According to Nkaissery, these new laws will instill fear and discipline on drivers who treat the law casually
Nkaissery gave the notice of the new law when he met county commissioners at the KICC where they were briefing the new Interior CS of the various security challenges in their respective counties
