Ndumberi man kills 6 year old girl, stuffs her mutilated body in suitcase

A village in Ndumberi, Kiambu county is still trying to comprehend the murder of a 6 year old girl, Njeri, who was allegedly defiled, killed and her remains mutilated and stuffed in to a suitcase. All this was done by her step father, Evanson Njau

The circumstances leading to the little girl’s death at first seemed like a bad joke to her mother Rose Wangari. It all started when she requested her husband for two thousand shillings to pay school fees for the little girl. Njau later called her and told her to go inside their bedroom and get three million shillings that he had kept inside a suit case.

On finding the suit case, Wangari says that it was heavy and she called a friend to assist her open it. They removed a few clothes that were stashed in it and on digging further, they discovered the body of little Njeri which was mutilated so as to fit inside the suit case.

Those who witnessed the gory scene also say that the girl had a belt around her neck and its suspected that her step father used it to chock her to death. There were also signs that she had been raped. Her legs and hands had been broken with a blunt object

Though little Njeri was not Njau’s biological child, he was the only father she knew. According to those know him, he is an irrational man who is easy to anger. The wife says that he has contacted her since the incident and she now fears for her life. He called her and said that he had decided to sacrifice the whole family, starting with Njeri

Police in Kiambu county have launched a manhunt for Njau and report to have promising leads.
