Five dead while seeking ‘healing’ at Prophet Owuor’s crusade in Nakuru

The Police have confirmed that five people died while seeking ‘healing’ since the start of Prophet Owuor’s crusade in Nakuru on Dec 29. Some of those who died had been discharged from hospitals by their relatives so as to be taken to Owuor for divine healing

Nakuru OCPD Bernard Kioko confirmed that the five died while attending Prophet Owuor’s crusade. He pointed out that the five were reported to have been suffering from different diseases and had been brought to the man of God to receive miracle healing.

“The five had attended prayers believing to receive their healing miracle from prophet Owuor but they unfortunately succumbed to their ailments and their bodies have been taken to the Nakuru county mortuary for postmoterm” said Kioko.

The crusade which started on Dec 31st has attracted thousands of faithfuls from all over Kenya. Residents of Nakuru town and Prophet Owuor’s followers were seen queuing along the streets, some as early as 5 am Wednesday morning, as they waited for Owuor, who is also referred to as “the mighty prophet of God”. They even washed the streets and lay a red carpet for him
