Bonyeza na Safaricom’s Sh 5 Million and Pickup won by a 70 year old man from Bungoma

The Bonyeza na Safaricom grand draw was held on 5th January- Monday, and the grand prize went to Ainea Buteta, a 70 year old mzee from Changara area in Sirisia Constituency Bungoma County.
The third edition of Safaricom’s Bonyeza Ushinde came to a close on Monday, 5th. The grand prize was won by a 70 year old Ainea Buteta from Bungoma county
The third edition and 2014’s Bonyeza Ushinde na Safaricom promotion kicked off on the seventh of November last year and has been running for the last 60 days. Through out the Bonyeza promotion period which was conducted by Safaricom in partnership with the royal media services, over 1000 winners were announced and received various prizes
Each day saw one person take home Sh 1 million with the grand prize having been pegged at Sh 5 Million and an Isuzu D-Max pickup truck.
The Bonyeza Ushinde grand draw winner, Ainea Buteta, is a 70 year old farmer from Western Kenya who has been trying his luck since the start of the promotion. Claire Munene, the head of department at Safaricom’s consumer value management, said Safaricom believes that Ainea Buteta’s life will be transformed in tandem with the company’s goal of improving people’s lives
