Just like Co-op Bank, Prof goes on a cost cutting mission.. in his house

If you have a friend who works in a bank… and he has refused with your money… or has wronged you…threaten him that you will take him to McKinsey. Tell them that you have McKinsey emergency hotline on your  frequently dialed numbers. If the guy doesn’t pay you come for 1,000 kes from me. That’s a bet.

You see McKinsey is the bankers enemy number one. If McKinsey has not visited your bank he is coming and when he comes then know the second coming of Christ is near. As the bible prophesied during the end times there will be war and earthquakes and that’s exactly what McKinsey brings.

If you don’t know what am talking about Mckinsey is a consulting firm that recommended firing of 160 cooperative bank managers (read front page Daily Nation 12/12/2014). They are notorious in this- they went to KCB, National Bank and Equity and the results were the same… Retrenchment, more targets, less bonus and things like those.

That’s is why when a banker hears McKinsey he starts updating his CV, because by the time McKinsey is done with you, you will have gone through cost cutting and also weight cutting.

Talking of cost cutting, I have decided to become the McKinsey in my house. I have developed several strategies to reduse cost in my house here is a few of them.

1. The Mulika mwizi will be providing light in the kitchen therefore I am going to remove the bulb there and sell it in olx

2. There will be no activity like boiling eggs or yams. These activities should be done while cooking other foods like rice or githeri. So when cooking rice put eggs in there.

3. There in nothing like warming water… when cooking food place a sufuria with water on top instead of the lid. By the time food is ready the water is hot. Put the water in the flask. That means you use the same gas to cook rice, boil eggs and warm water.

4. TV provides its own light… therefore switch of the lights when watching the TV at night.

5. There is no separate soap for washing, bathing and utensils… lifeboey can do all that

By implementing this I intend to cut the cost of living by up to 60%… feel free to invite me to your house and I will carry out an energy audit and advise you on ways to cut down the cost. Make sure your wife doesn’t know you are inviting Prof McKinsey.
