Govt. to charge those involved in the Al Jazeera documentary

The government has filed a complaint with the media council of Kenya following a documentary aired by Al Jazeera TV network. The documentary had alleged that the government runs an assassination unit that carries out extra judicial killings of radical Islamists and other suspected terrorist sympathizers.

In a statement from the interior ministry, the Kenyan government has insisted that no such police hit squad exists and the story was a fabricated and malicious attempt that only sympathizes with the terrorists’ agenda.

The government has also said that it will file charges against all those involved in the production of the story.
