36 Chinese nationals in arrested in Runda.

36 young Chinese nationals were arrested on Sunday night for being in the country illegally and operating sophisticated networking equipment without a permit. Their charges will be read to them on Tuesday morning.

The 36 Chinese nationals were arrested at Runda estate after a fire incident that resulted in the death of one of them. Police had gone to the house to investigate the fire when they stumbled upon the group of 36 hurdled in one of the rooms in the big house. They also found a number of sophisticated communication gadgets inside one of the rooms

On Monday the compound was busy with CID officers carrying out investigations. The officers said they were investigating a cyber crime syndicate and have identified four different sites in the neighborhood that they suspect the Chinese were operating from with their equipment.

It is not clear how the large group of foreigners managed to live in such a high end neighborhood unnoticed
