Woman Stripped Naked By Rowdy Embassava Touts

A shocking incident was caught on camera at Pipeline estate in Embakasi, Nairobi County. A woman was stripped completely naked by a group of Embassava SACCO touts who claimed that she was dressed indecently. The incident has sparked fury and anger across the country

The Embassava SACCO touts stripped the woman of her dignity as members of public watched in disbelief . Many Kenyans were stunned by the video that went viral with a good number condemning the incident on Twitter under the hashtag #TellEmbassava. Many more wondered what had gone wrong with our society for a group of men to claim a woman was indecently dressed, only for them to forcefully strip her.

Following the incident and subsequent online criticism, Embassava Bus and Matatu SACCO condemned the incident and denied any of their staff were involved in the shameless bus stage drama. The SACCO said dragging its name in to the incident is nothing but pure malice. Some of the SACCO’s supervisors have said that they were reduced to mere spectators as the mob attacked the helpless woman.

Following the clarification by Embassava SACCO that non its staff members was involved in the   bus stage drama, members of the public will only hope that the video clip will help police officers nail those behind the attack.

Update:

Kenya’s Director of public prosecutions, Keriako Tobiko, has already forwarded the clip of the lady being stripped to the criminal investigations department for a probe and subsequent arrest of the perpetrators of the heinous act amid hopes that justice will prevail.
