Wetangula discharged from hospital after short illness

There was a major health scare on Friday in a plane headed to Kisumu when Bungoma senator Moses Wetangula developed breathing problems and started vomiting moments before the plane landed

Passengers on the flight said Wetangula, who had looked ok throughout the Jambo Jet flight from Jommo Kenyatta Airport through Eldoret, started sweating heavily before developing breathing problems moments before the plane landed.

A doctor who as on board the flight is said to have attended to the senator before he was rushed to the Aga Khan hospital in Kisumu. CORD leader Raila Odinga, Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma and Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale rushed to the hospital to check on Wetangula’s state.

The hospitla’s superintendent Dr. Sammy Oula told journalists that Wetangula had suffered trauma and fatigue due to frequent travels and was treated and discharged.

The senator later resumed his journey to Bungoma where he joined Bungoma senator Ken Lusaka in hosting deputy president William Ruto at a fund raising function for boda boda operators
