Two Egerton University students killed by police in a case of mistaken identity

Two students from Egerton University have been shot and killed by police in Nairobi in a case of mistaken identity.

The two, 22 year old Felix Magomere and 21 year old Dennis Nyagena are said to have traveled from Egerton University’s main campus in Njoro Nakuru County to Nairobi to follow up on their loan application with HELB. Its in Nairobi where police officers allegedly shot them in a suspected case of mistaken identity.

The two biochemistry students went missing on the 7th of this moth and were only found on Sunday at the city mortuary. The two who went to escort a friend who had accompanied them to Nairobi never returned home. A dad to one of the students said that he only got to know about his son’s whereabouts after police officers at the Central Police station directed him to the city mortuary

The parents who were informed that the boys were killed at the Globe Cinema round about moved the bodies from the city mortuary to the Umash funeral home where the post-mortem examinations will be carried out
