In an article that was published by the Sunday Nation, Njoki Chege said that she is not ready to get married because her ideal man right now should be between 28-30 years old. But she has an issue with men in this age group because they are not real men- they are boys with blue Subaru Imprezzas who drink cheap liquor on weekday nights and show up to their workplaces the next morning hangovered, smelling like a brewery.

Njoki Chege also said that she is not ready to date a man whose idea of fun is Masaku sevens and “NaxVegas’ and whose only achievement is owning a second hand Japanese Toyota Mark X whose car loan he is struggling to pay. She also termed them as sexually frustrated emotional leeches
