Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdulahi  accused Ole Lenku of masterminding the forceful take over of the controversial farm. Some of the allegations in Ahmednasir’s tweets read;

Yesterday and today ole lenku with 500 maasai warriors and 75 GSU officers took over by force Nguruman farm. He arrested all 76 workers.

Ole lenku is doing this because the farm is part owned by kenyans of European descent.He called the owner and told them he will deport him

This morning I and my clients called every police officers including the IG. All said they can’t touch ole lenku.

This is what happens when a doorman in 2 star hotel becomes in CS in charge of nation’s security. He starts stealing from his neighbours.

I have advised my clients to buy arms and defend themselves.When cs ole lenku and GSU takeover your farm you have right to self defense

Lenku through his lawyer Donald Kipkorir wrote a demand letter to Ahmednasir on Tuesday demanding that he retracts, apologizes and admits liability over the tweets within 24 hours or face him in court. The letter says in part that the sole objective of said publication was to injure the credit, character and reputation of Lenku and force him to resign from his cabinet position. It also said that the aim of Ahmednasir’s tweets was  to bring Lenku hatred, ridicule and contempt

Lenku also lodged a criminal complaint against Abdulahi with recommendations that he be arrested and be charged for misuse of social media

Ahmednasir, also known as the Grand Mulah would not take Lenku’s threats lying down. His letter to the Interior CS read in part;

The content of the said letter and more so the demand herein is utter nonsense

I stand by, justifiable every word of what i tweeted

What reputation or character are you talking about?

As for the demand you make, you must be kidding

The two might be headed to court as the Lenku demand letter notified intent to lodge a criminal complaint with the director of public prosecutions

Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdulahi represents  Nguruman ltd and this has sparked debate on where to draw the line between comments on social media and debating a matters pending in court in public. According to LSK chair Eric Mutua, even a tweet is considered a publication. Therefore, the state can take action against a person through the criminal justice system
