Foreigner in custody over the death of a University of Nairobi student
A 22 year old final year student at Nairobi University died after her boyfriend, a 42 year old Carl Singleton from the UK, denied her use of diabetes medicine.The girl has been identified as
Ashley with her boyfriend Carl Singleton. Ashley who was a student at Nairobi University died after her boyfriend flushed her diabetes medication down the toilet
According to the girl’s mother, the boyfriend flashed her diabetes medication down the toilet and she was left with nothing to use- That’s when her blood sugar rose and possibly led to her death. Her neighbors also said that she was crying for help asking them to help her get some medicine from the boyfriend’s house. They also claimed that the two used to fight a lot.
Ashley stayed with her boyfriend Carl who is said to be a tourist in a rented apartment in Gachie. Every time she left her mother’s house in Buruburu for school, the mother knew her daughter would be staying with a friend in Kabete at the end of her classes every day. She never that Ashley had an apartment in Gachie where she was staying with a man twice her age.
According to neighbors at the apartments, Carl Singleton is a silent man but his actions are so loud. One time he threw his two dogs off the balcony in to the parking lot.
