William Ruto urges European Nations to lift travel bans
Acting President, William Ruto has urged Western Nations to lift travel bans that were imposed on Kenya a few months ago.He said this during the opening of the 4th edition of Magical Kenya travel expo at the Kenyatta International Conference Center in Nairobi
Ruto said that the Ministry of Tourism has rolled out strategies to put the industry back on track, key among them, the formation of the Tourism Recovery Committee which will come up with the possible options of growing the sector
Earlier, the acting president had launched the Business Environment Delivery Unit where he said that the cost of power for manufacturers must be reduced. This will ensure that foreign investors do not move to other parts of the continent where the cost of production is lower.
“We want the cost of power to come down from 18 US cents to 11 or 10 US cents if possible. We are working very hard to make sure that we deliver on our part.” Said Ruto
This comes a midst the government’s promise to add up to 5000 Megawatts to the national grid by 2017
