William Ruto to sue CORD politicians for linking him to Karen Land Grab

Deputy president William Ruto has now written to the CORD leaders who accused him of being a beneficiary of the disputed 134 acres of land  in Karen.

Ruto through his lawyer Kioko Kilukumi has written to four CORD senators and one CORD MP saying that a statement  made by the five CORD politicians  is offensive and defamatory by accusing the deputy president of being a beneficiary of the corruption scandal.

Ruto’s Lawyer Kioko Kilukumi further said the five went ahead and accused the deputy president of  being the principal architect in the monumental and the unprecedented land grabbing in Karen and also accusing him of gluttony. Ruto now says that he neither owns an inch of the land in question, nor is he involved in any manner whatsoever with the disputed parcel of land.

The deputy president wants Senators Muthama, Orengo, Khalwale, Ongoro and Suna east MP Junet Mohammed to retract and correct their statements and apologize within seven days failure to which he will take legal action against them.

Ruto added that he has been greatly injured in his credit, status and reputation and further exposed to hatred, ridicule, contempt, humiliation and agony. The 134 acre piece of land in Karen is now a subject of investigation by the ethics and anti corruption commission (EACC)
