President Kenyatta expected back in Kenya 6.30 am on Thursday morning
The plane carrying President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to touch down at JKIA today (Thursday) morning, at around 6.30 am. His entourage to snake its way through Outer Ring Road- Jogoo Road- Landhies Road- Harambee House

On Tuesday morning, private citizen Uhuru Kenyatta arrived at the JKIA without the usual trappings of power and headed for the departure lounge on his way to The Hague in Netherlands, to attend a two day status conference. He had temporarily ceded power to deputy president William Ruto the day before
Today (Thursday) morning, it will be a different story all together after the instruments that conveyed presidential authority to deputy president William Ruto expired at exactly 6 pm on Wednesday evening. According to a message that was posted on the presidential Service Communication Unit (PSCU) Twitter account, the president assumed his powers as soon as he stepped out of his court room.

The plane carrying President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to touch down at the Jommo Kenyatta International Airport at 6.30 am on Thursday morning. According to some reliable sources, he will be received by his deputy William Ruto, before inspecting a guard of honor.
A circular that was released by the Interior Cabinet Secretary, Ole Lenku, says that President Kenyatta will then embark on a ‘meet the people tour’ from 8.30 am.
From JKIA, the president and his entourage will pass through Outer Ring Road, on to Jogoo Road before joining Landhies with a number of stop overs to address members of the public. He will later head to Harambee House to continue with his national duties
President Kenyatta’s return from the Hague is expected to be full of pomp and color, bringing back the memories of the 2011 triumphant return when both Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto jetted back in to the country after attending the ICC court proceedings for the very first time
The two, alongside former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka, who is a fierce opponent of the Jubilee government, used the same route before they were later elected in the March 2013 elections
