Kahuthia is a fourth year Mechatronics student at the Jommo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology- JKUAT. By the time of his disappearance, he was an intern at a firm along Mombasa road as is required for his course.

Last Friday after work, Kevin and his friends decided to usher in the long weekend at one of the clubs along Baricho road. At about 11 pm, he parted ways with his friends and even called his sister to inform her that he was on his way home. That was the last the family heard from him.

On Saturday morning, it was evident there was a problem when Kahuthia didn’t go home, and that’s when the search began. His Mother, Rachel Wambugu has been frantically searching for her lost son. She says that they have gone to the club where Kevin was last seen. The management at the club told them that Kevin was very drunk and rowdy and as a result was thrown out of the club. They were also told that his mobile phone was confiscated because he was not able to pay for his bill.

The family has looked for him in numerous public and private hospitals in Nairobi. They also looked in several police stations and mortuaries across Nairobi with no success. They have now opted to put up posters of Kevin along Nairobi West area where several have pointed them to, saying they saw a rugged boy wondering around on the rainy Saturday Morning.

Anyone with information on Kevin has been asked to report to Industrial Area police station.
