Isaac Ruto warns UHURUTO to oppose pesa Mashinani at their own risk

The chairman of the Council of Governors and Bomet governor Isaac Ruto has warned that the Jubilee government risks loosing votes come 2017 if they don’t support devolution and the pesa mashinani referendum

Ruto was speaking in Homabay town where he closed the 13th general assembly of Lake Victoria’s region local authorities cooperation. He wondered what the UHURUTO government will tell Kenyans in 2017 if they fail to support and implement  devolution  fully

Isaac Ruto who is facing fierce criticism from a section of leaders allied to the Jubilee coalition has been adamant in agitating for more money to the counties (pesa mashinani).

For the second time in less than five days, the Bomet governor said that he is ready to join forces with the Raila led Okoa Kenya drive to push for a referendum.

“We as the council of governors are saying that we’re promoting pesa mashinani drive. Our brothers in CORD are also pushing the Okoa Kenya drive. We would like to look at the issues and compare them. If they are similar, then we shall work together because we are trying to give Kenyans a better life” Said Ruto amid cheers from the meeting attendants.
