Until her demise, Emmy Ruto was the captain of Kenya National women Cricket team and daughter to Bomet Governor, Issac Ruto. The family confirmed that the late Emily was due to be flown to India for specialized treatment for Leukemia but she passed on at the Aga Khan hospital on Friday morning.
The late Emily beat all odds to excel in cricket from the time she was a student at the Kenyatta high school despite her health challenges.
