During a graduation ceremony at St. Pauls University in Limuru, Wanjiru said that Nairobi governorship was hers but ODM “did what they did” and denied her a chance to be become the governor. “Nairobi Governorship was mine, it still remains the same. That will have to change at some pint.”  Said the Bishop while addressing journalists after graduating with a degree in Leadership and Management.

“Bishop Margaret Wanjiru left ODM a long time ago. After they did what they did about me, I decided enough is enough. I built the party, held Nairobi together for ODM and yet they did what they did”

The Bishop added that she’s now ready to go back to politics and is looking for any party that will catapult her to the target. She said that she’s ready to join any political party and insisted that going back to ODM is out of the question for her.

This revelation will definitely come as a shock to the ODM part, because during the last elections Bishop Wanjiru was viewed as a close ally of the ODM party leader, Raila Odinga, and key CORD supporter nationally.

It will be interesting to see how the CORD leadership that denied her nomination in the last general election will deal with this latest development even after the party being instrumental to Stephen Kariuki’s victory in the Mathare by-election.
